DC UPS & Buffer Modules - Power Failure Bridging with and without Batteries

With a DC UPS you protect your devices, systems and data from power failure!

These battery packs with charge controller are used to buffer electrical consumers. You secure the power supply in the event of a power failure and thus prevent the loss of your valuable data or the total failure of your production line.

No matter where you use the DC UPS, you have a perfect backup against failures that can otherwise often cause high costs!

Among other things, the DC UPSs are characterized by high buffer capacities, the possibility of remote monitoring and additional LED displays.

DC UPS - general functionality:
When the DC UPS is first commissioned or when the mains voltage is applied, the NiMH or lead-gel accumulator is charged. When the end-of-charge voltage is reached, the DC UPS automatically switches to charge retention of the battery. In the event of a sudden power failure, the DC UPS then ensures the supply of your devices and systems with the powerful battery without interruption. In the case of recurring mains, the maximum output current is immediately available again and the battery of the DC UPS is recharged.

DC UPS with RS interface - Battery packs with charge controller and RS interface

This DC UPS has as a special feature an RS-232 / RS485 interface. Via this RS-232/RS-485 interface, the DC UPS outputs status messages for the mains, temperature and battery status and accepts commands to switch off. The desired buffer time can also be set via the RS232/RS485 interface.

Mini UPS - Compact battery packs with charge controller

With a mini UPS you protect your devices, systems and data from power failure!

These mini UPSs belong to the DC UPS, but have particularly compact dimensions.
The battery packs with charge controller are used to buffer electrical consumers. You secure the power supply in the event of a power failure and thus prevent the loss of your valuable data or the total failure of your production line. No matter where you use the mini UPS, you have a perfect backup against failures that can otherwise often cause high costs!

Mini UPS - How it works:
When the mini UPS is first commissioned or when the mains voltage is applied, the NiMH accumulator is charged. Buffer modules - power failure bridging without battery

With the maintenance-free buffer modules you protect your systems from short-term power failure!

These buffer modules of the SSE series are suitable for bridging short-term power failures, peak loads or switching operations. The buffer module is either connected directly into the regulated DC circuit at any point in parallel or used for the selective protection of critical consumers. The buffer module prevents disturbances caused by short-term interruptions of the power supply and significantly increases the reliability of the overall system.
The buffer modules are all maintenance-free, as no battery is installed. Installed and fully encapsulated in an aluminum housing, the robust buffer modules are characterized by vibration resistance, industrial and tropical suitability.

Buffer Modules - How It Works:
The buffer module stores energy in buffer capacitors as long as the leak power supply provides the voltage. In the event of a failure of the mains voltage, the buffer module takes over the load current for a certain period of time. As a result, e.B operations can be terminated in a defined way or process data can be stored to enable controlled restarts. To extend the buffer time or to increase performance, any number of buffer modules can be connected in parallel.
